I finally did it. I made my first print in the darkroom and it was magical. The print, of course, is bad. But learning about dodging and burning, test strips, and seeing this image appear right before my eyes was priceless and I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. Thank you to Mary Cheung for showing me the ropes, letting me use your photo and for the patience.

I definitely have a renewed desire to break out my film cameras (yes I own some) and start shooting so I can learn how to develop film and start making my own prints.
