I spent the close to 2007 packing up all of my belongings and heading east, making it halfway across the country yet again and spending the new year in near zero temperatures surrounded by snowy parkways and icy (at least to me) roads.

On the way I was able to visit Shaminder and Liz, my photo editors when I was a photographer on the school paper.

Now that I am here, I am not quite sure where I am going with this blog. I imagine it might turn in to more of a photo blog, posting whatever work I do at the Des Moines Register so that my family back in California can see what I am up to. On that note, here are a couple of photos that I know my family has been wanting to see from my new place.
