As you can see, I have a new look to my blog. I upgraded to WordPress 2.3 today, and as a result, was forced to look for a new template in order to take advantage of the native tagging feature (still working out the kinks in my tagging system).
I think the new template, Modio from UpstartBlogger, gives a much cleaner look, with more of a focus on my photography thanks to a rotating set of photos that appear at the bottom of the header.
I still have to figure out the best way to display my portfolio and multimedia work.
I for one, welcome the new new hotness. Very clean. There’s something about the ‘Inside’ links that isn’t working perfectly for me, but it may be just a ‘display: block’ away from a world of wonder and beauty.
Also, given that the image at the top of the page seems to be generated randomly, it might be nice to serve up a cutline of some sort with it.
If WP is getting the images where I think it might be getting them (posts?) that makes for a lot of work adding titles and descriptions in the wonderful world that is Manage/Uploads.
Fancy!
…I’m not sure I like it yet.
I am actually using a random image script that I found on the Photo Matt blog. All I know is I put the .php thing in the folder I keep my images and they seem to be rotating…
